Neurofeedback-Driven Embodied Narrative Interfaces for Parent-Child Emotional Co-Regulation

All parents and their children face emotion regulation issues, especially during middle childhood. Customary social practices shift the sole responsibility to the parent, although both parties are often struggling in such scenarios. We propose that enabling parents and children to work together in co-regulating their emotions during times of stress can not only support more effective regulation but also improve parent-child bonds.
What Generative AI is Doing to Teens' Friendships, Sense of Connection, and Identity

Generative AI can provide valuable support to challenging interpersonal interactions as third parties, but ethical issues such as overreliance threaten individuals' sense of relationship authenticity, which heavily impacts personally significant relationships such as friendship. We design and evaluate open-ended linguistic stylizations of AI generated conversation summaries (e.g., as poems) to encourage critical discourse during difficult conversations.
